Inno3D Gtx780Ghz Edition Nvidia GTX780 GHZ Edition Rumoured

This is one of the last things that would cross our minds, a GTX780Ghz Edition. Rumours have it that Nvidia’s GTX780 has been revised to a B1 version of the GK110 GPU that will be released as a non reference card from manufacturers.

The first “rumoured” card that was tested with this new revised chip is Inno3D’s GTX 780 iChill GHz Edition from the Chinese website Expreview. The card is clocked at a higher base clock of  1006Mhz , a boost clock of 1048mhz and memory at 1552Mhz. The GTX780Ghz will be released as a non reference card with a custom cooling solution. It will feature a lower tdp, lower temperatures and better overclocking potential.

GTX780 Ghz edition vs R9 290X Nvidia GTX780 GHZ Edition Rumoured

This seems to be Nvidia trying to get something on par with  the R9-290X like you can see in the benchmarks above and have the GTX780Ti as a higher priced model.

Or is it a marketing trick to get Inno3D in the spotlight of online publications ?
