Konami has announced a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on the 18th of March 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3. The Xbox One and Xbox 360 will feature a bonus mission called “Jamais Vu” where the player will be able to play as Raiden.
In the past, PS platforms had a bonus mission called “Deja vu” and this time around Xbox users will get the exclusive bonus content. It is trully unfortunate that this trend where one console gets better treatment from the developer is still going on and it doesn’t look like it will stop in the near future. Hideo Kojima, the director of Metal Gear Solid V has also said that he is looking forward to the next “pseudo-cloud era” which will come with the next gen hardware. Kojima also stated:
“It’s still one step away from the “true” cloud revolution, but it will allow players to interact with their games, and each other in new and exciting ways using multiple devices such as tablets and smart devices. Social experiences and player interaction are what will drive the next wave of games.”
Kojima recently announced that everyone who owns a copy of MGSV: Ground Zeroes, and have their saved files, will get a bonus when they boot up MGSV: Phantom Pain. The release date of MGSV: Phantom Pain is yet to be announced.
