It seems the long wait is going to see an end for one of the best Codemaster racing games. The officials of the Dirt Franchise have been active lately and have been teasing their fans, not directly but in clues about the possible entry of Dirt 4.

The very first clue came from Dirt’s official twitter account when a fan said “Let’s hope you announce Dirt 4 in 2014″. And he got a mysterious reply filled “To-much-to-say” emotion and a ‘winking’ smiley.

The second one was from their official Facebook page just before Christmas with a in-game image and a caption “We have a feeling you’ll all quite like 2014″.

The next teaser came once again from their twitter account when a fan started singing on their profile, and you can see the conversation with the comments “@dirtgame Why do I have a feeling that if I say yes, you’ll actually make it happen?” and a once again the “;)” smiley.

This might not make sense to some but lets go with another teaser shall we?

Following this conversation, Codemasters posted a image of the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI sports car with a caption “SPOILER!” the same day. A spoiler for what exactly? Non other than the upcoming expansion in the franchise – Dirt 4.

If we combine all the teasers, it seems like we have some chances of seeing Dirt 4 very soon. Maybe Codemaster is keeping everything behind closed doors to announce the title at the worlds biggest gaming convention, E3. But whether it’ll see a multiplatform release is our big question.

I remember DiRT 1 pretty well. That held me over until Gran Turismo 5 came out. I was blown away by how well it was put together seeing that game was my first REAL HD racing experience because NFS Carbon just felt like an upscale. If they stick to that time attack formula with those side country road/offroad A to B stages they’ll definitely be getting a day 1 buy from me! Oh and that menu music used to put me in a trance

    Can’t wait!

Really? Why on earth wouldn’t it be multiplatform like current Dirt games? I’m sure right now Codemasters is thinking let’s not make 10s of millions more and just release the game on 1 system.
