These are widely popular because it gives the player the simulation and feel of how it is to be in combat with someone. Also, these are popular multiplayer games since gamers will be able to practice tactical planning with their playmates online. This will be a review on the best fps shooter games based on the environment, graphics, weapons, storyline, and the characters. These are the factors of what makes them the best of 2013. Far Cry 3 Is an excellent game from Ubisoft that has a wonderful and unique storyline, this is about a guy named Jason Brody whose aim is to rescue his family and friends from contemptuous pirates who wants to sell them to slavery. There are different characters in this story who are quite interesting. Also, the game takes us to 2 worlds that has good and vivid graphics. There are different activities that the player must accomplish to be able to get money, ammo, or weapons. The player can play a game of poker, skin certain animals racing, knife throwing and aiding civilians. Different weapons can be used depending on which will be found by the player. Different skills must also be reached such as shark, heron and spiders. This could be achieved by accomplishing missions given to you. Crysis 3 One of the most anticipated releases of 2013, following the success of both previous editions we get another action packed version from Crytek with better graphics , more intense gameplay and all the bells and whistles of the previous releases. You would need to play the game to understand what difference it has to all the other fps games listed here. You can check out the Crysis 3 benchmark for more details on the game and if your graphics card is capable. Best Free Fps Game : Team Fortress 2 This game is created by Valve and is currently free. It does not have a story line because it is solely a multi-player game but relies on its animated and amusing characters. Each character is equipped with three types of weapon: Primary, secondary, and a melee weapon. Do not be fooled by its cartoon-animated graphics because it is a complex and dynamic play that requires cunningness and intelligence to finish. The game comprises of three groups of characters: The offensive, the defensive, and the support. All of whom have different abilities and different weapons. Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the second installment of the Call of Duty franchise. The old characters Woods and Mason are still present, but the game is made exciting by two new characters; David and Harper. The game is set in two time zones, the ’80s and 2025, which aside from the storyline was probably done to lessen the monotony. The story this time revolves around the villain, Raul Mendez, and his rise to power during the Cold War. What’s both surprising and interesting is that you are given the chance to choose from multiple endings, depending on how you play the game. In multi-player mode, the new perk system allows for quicker reload, faster running and increased weapon damage. Finally, with how rampant zombie games and movies are, developers have decided to add a Zombie mode in the game as well. Trey arch has definitely done a good job making the single player campaign fun, and the multi-player mode way better. Left 4 Dead 2 This is another Valve game though this time is a survival-horror game. Characters in this game are quite interesting since there are different types of infected humans. There are Hazmats, construction workers and even clowns that are infected. The infected may carry bile bombs and weapons. The main characters carry different types of weaponry such as bile bombs, which distracts enemies, and adrenaline shots, which make you run faster, dodge better and help team mates heal. This version of the game features 5 new campaigns with different challenges. There is also a multi-player version of this game. Halo 4 The fourth franchise of the Halo series has now been developed by 343 Industries, after Bungie passed the game to them. This time, the main characters, Master Chief and Cortana, encounters another threat to humanity and survival is once again up to the players’ hands. Meanwhile, the same fantastic visuals from the previous installments have been improved and are now rich and crisp more than ever, combined with a great soundtrack that complements the entire game. Halo 4 has leveled up it’s storytelling, but when it comes to game action, it didn’t really have anything new to offer. The game entices players through powerful creation and tools customization. Weaponry still range from guns and grenades and armors still provide different strategies in the battlefield. Competitive multi-player mode offers greater diversity. The bad thing is after Halo 1 and 2 other releases have not been ported to Pc. (This is a Xbox only Game) Borderlands 2 This RPG sci-fi shooter game lands a spot in this list. Borderlands 2 feature four unique, fun, online characters. You will play as as a bandit seeking the Vault, which holds power and wealth. Great combat and a good flow of rewards make this game very enjoyable. This RPG boasts a satisfying gun-play and loads of weapons, shields and other items. It has unique visuals that may appeal to your artistic style as its kind of anime. However, solo mode may deem to be too slow paced and the end game, for some, may be too unsatisfying.
