HomeGamingBattlefield 4 Will Support 32 Bit Systems As Well as DirectX 11.1 Milos M. September 29, 2013 Gaming, Tech News There have been rumors circling the internet that DICE will be supporting 64-bit systems only in its upcoming title. We found these rumors to be false since no one in his crazy mind would neglect such a vast portion of the market and endanger the companies profits. We will clear this rumour , at AMD’s GPU 14 event EA and DICE have stated that BF4 will be a “64-bit game with a fallback”, which means that there will be a backup option for the 32-bit users. It has also been confirmed that Battlefield 4 will support DX 11.1. As for the 32/64bit systems , they will both NOT only be DirectX 11.1 compatible. Only current AMD cards support DX11.1 and since Nvidia’s 600 series (and previous gens) do not fully support DirectX 11.1 it is highly unlikely that EA & DICE will try something so risky as to have only full support for DX 11.1. DirectX 11.1 is basically DirectX 11 with Shader tracing and it also comes with the ability of switching between different DirectX’s while inline, so it would be easy to switch from DirectX 11.1 to DirectX 11.
